It's always frustrating when someone refuses to uphold the most basic common courtesies. We're all in this together—well, at least we should be—so showing basic courtesy is the very least that you can do, even to a complete stranger. It's small acts of kindness like this and reciprocity that make society tick; should you refuse to participate, you might find the karmic pendulum swinging right back at you.
When this office worker witnessed a delivery driver getting into the elevator at his office, he was just a few steps behind; the delivery driver turned around in the elevator and made direct eye contact with the worker; the driver then proceeded to allow the doors to close in dramatic fashion just in front of the worker. The worker was, luckily, able to get to the next elevator up to their floor. To their surprise, their elevator actually managed to beat the delivery driver, who must have been delivering to their floor. The door to their office was locked, requiring a key card to enter; the worker allowed the door to lock behind them—just in front of the delivery driver—repaying the driver for their lack of courtesy with a delightfully inconvenient act of karmic revenge.
